Designing your e-PORTFOLIOS
Tasks
I. Read an article on e-potfolios.
Read this article before you start working on the e-portfolio for your blog-based lesson.
After reading this article go to e-portfolios and write a post saying what you think about e-portfolios.
II. How to design your e-portfolio for your blog-based lesson.
To design your e-portfolio you should:
1. create one single post in the blog you created last week. This one entry will serve as a portal for both teachers and students to learn or have access to the class e-portfolios.
This e-portfolio has got the following purposes:
- To collect what students have done from the blog-based lessons.
- To provide instructions to students to create their blogs and the posts they will making along the semester or school year.
- To inform students on evaluation
- to serve as a portal to have access to the web-based lesson
- To have easy access to students’ posts from one single spot.
2. Add the following aspects to your entry:
I. Welcome message (A generic message to welcome your students or anybody who would like to visit this portal)
II. About us (A brief description about yourself)
III. The project (say briefly what this e-portfolio is all about).
3.1. Objective(s)
3.2. Audience
3.3. Steps: (Qhat students have to do to create their blogs and what they will post there)
IV. Schedule: (Content and activities to be posted per week)
V. Structure (Identify what all students should have in their blogs)
VI. Evaluation: (Quantitative and qualitative)
VII. Resources: (Here you will provide a link to your blog-based lesson)

III. Add a widget to your blog to have easy access to your students’ blog from the e-portfolio portal.
Have a look at the following video to show you how to add Blog lines to keep track of your students’ blogs.
IV. Create your own e-portfolios
Now it is time to design our own e-portfolio. Follow the suggestions given in the video tutorial. It should have:
1. One single entry
2. The following parts: Welcome; About us (me); Project; Schedule; Structure; Evaluation; Resources
3. A blogroll
II. Add the link to your e-portfolio in our Yahoo group.
1. Go to our Yahoo group and go to Links.
2. Click e-portfolios and add the link there.
3. Choose one e-portfolios from one of your e-peers and evaluate it in Our Bblep09 e-portfolios.
